Wedding Day

Our wedding day was fantastic. Everything about it was perfect from the weather to the food. The day before my nerves kicked in and I stuggled to eat, however I woke up on the Wedding morning starving hungry and raided the huge fruit salad my Bridesmaid had made. The photographer did comment that she had never seen a bride eat so much on her wedding day. I was determined not to faint during the ceremony.

The reception was in Sutton Bonington Hall near Loughborough and it was worth every single penny. Our wedding was very much Food, Family, Friends and Flowers. Many people have since come to us saying it was the best food they have ever tasted…and I have to agree with them. Not only was it delicious it was superbly presented. I just wish I had taken a photo of it (how sad is that!). The kids had the same as the adults and had clean plates.

Duo of Pork, Dijon Mash, Garlic and Thyme Jus (Sound boring, but was delicious and everyone had a huge hunk of crackling)

Served with new potatoes, carrots & string beans

Coffee, Tea served with tablet and cherries dipped in dark chocolate

For the Honeymoon we toured Scotland’s Highlands & Islands (involved a lot of cream tea and tablet fudge!)
